Course Objective:
In this workshop, we will learn about the basics of blockchain and how blockchain technology is used in different day-to-day applications. With this course completion, you can explain what is blockchain, how it works, and why it is creating a buzz in the recent time business world. With this course, we will know the principles of blockchain, its challenges, and limitation while implementing in real-time business.

- Students in the third year / final year of an Engineering course.
- A basic understanding of distributed systems, networks, and data structures will be helpful.

In this, the learner will get to know about the basics of blockchain and why it is being seen as a revolution in the business. - Key terms and concepts
In this submodule, we deal with the key terms used in blockchain and the principles of blockchain. - Cryptocurrency overview
In this submodule, we deal with what is cryptocurrency and how blockchain supports the existence of cryptocurrency. In this, we also discuss the different cryptocurrencies currently in use - Public and Private Ledgers
In this submodule, we explain in detail the concept of the ledger, types of the ledger, and how it is used in blockchain - Blockchain types
Here we discuss the various types of blockchain and how each is used in different applications. - Blockchain mechanics and hashing
Here we discuss the working of blockchain and the various mechanisms which we use to create a blockchain. Also, this module deals with the concept of hashing. Here we discuss how to implement hash in any language - Core Components of Technology
In this submodule, we discuss various technologies that are associated with the blockchain and how it is helpful in creating a blockchain ecosystem - Transactions, blocks, and fees overview
In this submodule, we will discuss various mining techniques and how miners create a doc, and how they charge transaction fees. - Applications of Blockchain
In this submodule, we will discuss the various business application like Supply chain, health care, smart contract, etc - Blockchain Implementation Challenges
In this module, we will be explaining the challenges in implementing the blockchain and the limitations of blockchain.

Auqib Hamid Lone – Blockchain Researcher, Spectrami
Bachelors in Information Technology and Engineering with distinction, Auqib’s interest and passion towards information security took him into master’s. He completed his M. Tech in Information Security & Cyber Forensics from Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi with the first rank. In 2021, he has submitted his Ph.D. Thesis on Blockchain Technology. Currently, Auqib is working as a Blockchain Research Scientist at Parfin – a UK-based Fintech start-up. His main areas of interest are Blockchain, Cryptography, Network Security, and Digital Forensics.
Sanket Kulkarni – Director, Mindtree
Sanket Kulkarni has more than 20 years of experience in delivering Technology-led Supply Chain solutions. Over the last few years, he has been focused on the variety of innovation topics in the Supply Chain space via the application of Blockchain and Distributed Ledger technologies to deliver computational trust models. He has also coached customers across the globe to improve their supply chains by leveraging the safety and traceability of the Blockchain framework. Along with the consulting assignments, he has also delivered training on the various Blockchain topics to the leading corporates in India and management institutes. Blockchain in itself is a very complex topic to study & teach. Myra’s Academy provides this course of the Blockchain which gives a broad overview of the essential concepts of blockchain technology. I think the material could have been made more suitable to "laymen" by simplifying the language of delivery. After completion of this course one can easily understand the core components of blockchain technology, fundamentals of currency and its evolution from pre-cryptocurrency to crypto-assets and getting familiar with these terms such as miner, hash, nonce, proof-of-work, and public-key cryptography, as well as the steps of a blockchain transaction.
